A few of my "creations"

Pincushions have become my passion!

I made my first pincushion last year for my friends mother who is a quilter. It was her 83rd birthday and I wanted to give her something fun & practical. Quilters can always use a pincushion, right? I knew she grew up on a farm so I discovered a single chicken salt shaker, that had lost it's mate, at an estate sale. I rescued the poor little thing and created my first pincushion. She loved it.

I did not give it another thought...then I made one for my daughter & myself. A friend saw mine and wanted one, then another friend, I gave them away as gifts. I just had so much fun making these things. I had even more fun searching and rescuing vintage figures from estate sales, thrift stores & junk shops. Well, the rest is history, as they say.

I had made more than I could give away and my daughter suggested I sell some. I went from two local craft sales to supplying my creations to a shop owner and opening my own online shop at etsy.com.

I've created over 200 of these little delights in the past year. I've sold them all across the U.S and have even sold some to folks in London, New Zealand & Australia! Who would ever imagine?

I can't describe the joy I get from my hobby, but the joy I see others receive from my creations is such a blessing.
Blessings & Joy!
